Living Bread – Raw Food Preparation #41

April 23, 2016 No comments Article

So it’s the last of the 5 series workshop at Healthy Eats and it’s the most attended.  We had fun, as always.  We made 5 different kinds of bread – my ultimate comfort food – and talked about food dehydration.  For our intimacy question, everyone has to reveal their presidentail, vice presidential, and top 3 senatorial bets.

Class 40

I will definitely miss these classes in Makati.  Thanks to the wonderful people I’ve met – I hope I have touched your hearts, you sure did touch mine <3  Thanks to Jose Angelo Songco and Gina Salting Yambot for inviting me over to Makati to hold classes, hope to see you soon!  Thanks to my sponsors who have joined me in the classes: Vitamix Philippines and their team: Marie, Berna, and the boys, Homegrown Organics, Lola Naty’s, Tsaa Laya: Exquisite Tea Collections of the Philippines, The Good Shelf, Nami, and Matstone Juicer Philippines, til next time!

To all the students, hope to see you again.  And to my team, Christina, Chingbee, Regine, Dan, Gale, you’re the best team mates!

Gratitude.  Love.   Flow.

Raw Food 101 – Raw Food Preparation Class 40

April 13, 2016 No comments Article

It was another fun-filled day with my 40th raw food preparation class.  It was organized by a young couple who wanted their daughter to be on 100% raw vegan diet.  They invited three other friends to join them and we decided to deviate from my usual raw food demonstration and instead do a bit of hands-on.  The class lasted for five fun hours!

French Fit – Raw Food Preparation Class #39

March 12, 2016 No comments Article

This class was inspired by the book, French Women Don’t Get Fat.

I’m not playing favorites here but I have to say this is the best class ever!  I love the energy of the group and how the conversation just flow from what’s the first thing that comes to mind when France is mentioned to synchronicity to bikes in France and slim French women to nut soaking to blending and juicing to “epal” politicians to good food and olive oil and excess pounds… name it!

FIT + FAB Journey

March 4, 2016 No comments Article

It’s the time of the year once again when we start planning our summer get-away.  Most often than not, the popular choice is the beach.  Admit it or not, we all want to be FIT + FAB for such occasion.  While our definition of fit and fabulous may vary, one thing I’m sure we would all agree on is that FIT + FAB you means a healthy you.

This March, Moulinex Philippines will do a full-blown promotion of it’s Moulinex Infiny Press Revolution Slow Juicer and I’m happy to share that I will be part of this!  Buy the slow juicer or any of the Moulinex juice extractors and get a FIT + FAB Guide.  I wrote this Guide with the goal of sharing to others what it entails to have a fit and fabulous life.  The Guide shares 12 exclusive raw vegan recipes, with articles on yoga, pilates, raw food, as well as a FIT + FAB goal chart and a food diary.  It also comes with a bonus article on Why vegan written by a good friend, Nick, who meticulously edited the book.  The Guide is part of the FIT + FAB Kit which also includes an eco bag, dry fit sports singlet, and a Dowell bath scale.

It comes in very timely especially after two experts on the raw food movement recently wrote about the benefits of green juicing over green smoothies.  (Read more here: http://www.oureldersspeak.com/blog/2016/2/7/green-juice-or-green-smoothie)

It also comes in very timely in my life.  Every year, we make New Year’s Resolution and at the end of each year, we check-in where we are with our resolutions.  Early this year, I declared that by March, I want to be doing something which I see myself doing for the rest of my life – sort of a retirement job.

Chocolates Are Forever – Raw Food Preparation Class #38

January 18, 2016 No comments Article

While Valentine’s Day isn’t my most special occasion – especially not when I’m single or recently been broken hearted – I fancy the idea of making chocolates or anything that has chocolate in it for the V-day.  In this class, the 2nd series of #RawFoodIsTheNewHot, we talked about glycemic index and the different sweeteners available.  And so far, the verdict still remains: coconut nectar and coconut sugar is by far our best option in the Philippines.
