Communications Training
While I did try my best not to label myself as a communications person, I just keep coming back to it!
I studied Journalism in the university and worked in several media outlets and then several other organizations either as writer, editor, or communications officer. While I love doing comms, there’s one other piece of the work that I miss which is teaching, sharing, and mentoring. My current work allows me to do that. We just conducted a Communications Officers Fellowship where along with 40 other communications or NGO workers, we mentored 33 communications officers from 20 different non-government organizations in Asia. Work also allows me to do this outside work.
I facilitated and lectured at the Philippine Food and Drug Administration 4-day communications planning workshop for novel tobacco product regulations in March 2020. Participated in by 33 government employees, the workshop delivered the project’s 2 year communication strategy with detailed activities, calendar, budget, and audience analysis.
Together with a colleague, I likewise facilitated the 60s is the new 40s Basic Online Communication Skills for the Girl Scout of the Philippines (GSP) Foundation where over 70 participants were taught how to communicate better in the digital world.
Having said that, what sets my communications classes and workshops apart is me! Yes, I try to bring the raw yogini in me in all my sessions by incorporating yoga and the shanti vibe, and if possible, raw food too.
If you’re looking for someone to lead your communications strategy planning or teach communications skills whether traditional or digital while having fun, send me a message!
