When I started teaching raw food classes, I didn’t see myself becoming an advocate of raw food.  I just wanted to teach and move away from being an advocate.  It felt too tiring at that time working for an environmental health NGO and always trying to convince people why environmental health is important.  But I guess the experiences we have in our lives are placed there for us to do more and more and more.

So after teaching for a few years, I was invited to give a talk on the benefits of a raw vegan lifestyle.  With me as speakers were Tessa Cerbolles of the Food and Drug Administration, Rachel Arguelles who talked about back to basics on food, and Dr. Jaime Galvez Tan, formerly with the Department of Health and one of the biggest advocate of natural, healthy lifestyle.  It was such a privilege to be there and again I know I am at the right place.

WINGS-Philippines 2016 Launch Extravaganza

So it’s 2016!  To start the year, I joined the WINGS (Women International Network Giving Support)-Philippines 2016 Launch Extravaganza to sell some raw food goodies.  With me were other members of the Compassionate Conscious Choices: Jaq and Jertie of Jertie’s Kitchen (for vegan and gluten-free food), Lakapati and Alvin of The Real Happy Cow (for vegan cheeses), and Pam of Iba Di Ba (accessories).

The event was attended by women entrepreneurs.  Strong, empowered women graced the event to share their stories of trials and triumphs.

A good way to start the year.

Christmas Around the World – Raw Food Preparation Class # 37

It’s the first of the #RawFoodIsTheNewHot workshop series and my first class at Healthy Eats Organic Store and Cafe and also my first class in Makati.

What is so special about the class?

We shared raw healthy Christmas dishes and our Christmas wishes too – from world peace, to healthier self and mind, to a phone call from a loved one.
