This is my 3rd time to guest teach at Soufie’s Academy of Arts in Kalibo, Aklan and I simply love the warmth that I feel everytime I am around my Aklanon students. Soon after the class, they’d post in Facebook requesting for more classes and just now the owner of the Academy said I might just be able to teach here once a month or every two month, or quarterly. Wishes do come true.
While guest teaching, I’m also here to guide a detox client with her juice fast and liver flushing. One of those things that I simply love to do.
I know I am blessed that I get to do what I really love most. It’s not everyday that everyone has that. But today, another blessing came. I am one person who never hangout with new friends. I always say I already have my tribe – my family, my few good friends, and my yoga students. Beyond that, I just don’t need new people in my life. Although recently I started entertaining someone special but that will be a different subject. Anyway, being here in Kalibo, I am suddenly surrounded by new friends.
Yesterday, I joined the Annual Green Action Week: Organic Food & Farming Fair organized by the Ecowaste Coalition. Whenever I get invited to bazaars, I normally end the day by saying this will be my last bazaar. It’s too much work especially since my assistant is on leave and I don’t drive a car so I need to do everything from shopping to food prep, of course, to carrying all stuff to the venue.
But again and again, I get another invite and I say yes.
It feels good to be surrounded by like-minded people who are doing their share in changing the world for the better. Looking at all the organic vegetables and fruits, the recycled products, and other organic produce, it seems that everyday, it gets easier to be more loving to all beings.

It wasn’t my ordinary morning. At 5 in the morning, Angelo of Sugarleaf picked me up from the house for my 1st TV guesting as a raw food chef. [I was interviewed on TV before after I got deported from Singapore from planning on staging an anti-KFC naked demonstration with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)-Asia. But that’s a different story.]
It’s my 1st presscon. I’ve organized press conferences before for my bosses in politics and for the I-NGOs I’ve worked with, but never for myself. And it feels different to have someone organizing it for me and for someone else to be inviting the press. It was fun though.
