My Purification Story

After 33 days, I’m finally done with the #purification rundown. Yes, 33 long days of 30 minutes on the treadmill and 4.5 hours in the sauna sweating out toxins that have accumulated in the body.

How was my experience? From day one, I could feel stuff coming out of my system.

First night, I felt extreme burning sensation on my eyes and I’d say that’s probably from years of using contact lens and contact lens cleaner that has thimerosal which contains mercury. Then there were days when I could feel sinusitis attack – something I haven’t experienced since 2009 – I’d start sneezing and will have that really bad headache and in my mind I’d start thinking that the only way to ease the headache is by taking more Sinutabs which of course I was not allowed to do ‘coz the goal is to runout all the toxins and bad stuff I have taken in the past. The worst and the best part was when my legs and my feet got so swollen for almost a week I thought my feet won’t fit in my shoes! The conclusion we got is that it is running out radiation from the sun. Yes, I’m one of those who likes and loves to put her legs under the sun – I just love it tan (who doesn’t?!)! There were also days when I would throw up and spent the night with uneasy feeling in the stomach – talk about years and years and years of taking diet pills! Then my left shoulder pain was back and from observing my body for 33 days of 4.5 hours in the sauna, my conclusion is that all or most of the pain on the left side of my body is connected to my sinusitis and years of taking those medicines.

After 33 days, how do I feel? Well, I feel ok. I read 4 books in the sauna. I scheduled 4 private prenatal classes which will start this week. I pledged to start cleaning up my closet and rid it of too many clothes (I can honestly last 6 months without washing any clothes and will still have a clean set to wear!). I plan to upcycle some of these clothes and sell it (yoga sexy tops, anyone?). I feel more appreciative of people at the same time more into myself and more choosy of people I deal with. I guess the best part is I’m more into myself. I gained 2 kilos which isn’t a good news. If there’s one thing missing in the program is that it lacks guidance on food intake. Spending 4.5 hours in the sauna, anyone will really feel hungry and unless you are conscious of what you eat, you will have a tendency to eat whatever food you get a hold of which is what happened to me. But if I’ll look at the lesson here, it is telling me that I should be responsible of myself and only I have the power to change myself for the good or the bad.

What are my next steps? Now that I’m fully booked for yoga classes and the coconut products and more vegan products (coming up soon), I’d have at least 2 more raw food classes before Christmas 🙂 I’ll invite more people to the travel club which I recently joined. I’ll eat 100% raw vegan food from tomorrow, September 5 to my birthday, December 6 (who can make raw vegan cakes?), yoga 5x a week and I will have more time for life, love, and learnings (that means more time for everything!).
